About PDF compression

Compressing a PDF reduces file size while keeping reasonable quality. Useful when:

  • The PDF exceeds an email size limit (e.g. 10MB)
  • You want to upload it to a site with a maximum size
  • You want to save storage space
  • You want to send your resume at a suitable size

A note about compression:

Stronger compression reduces quality more. If the file contains images, compression will noticeably lower their quality. If the file is text only, the reduction may be small.
